Ed Snyder is a 20 year veteran in technology-based business management, with extensive P&L / CEO experience building top caliber management teams and leading a broad range of companies from start up through successful market growth to ongoing business viability. His varied background in network management, wireless, software infrastructure, hardware, and Internet content, makes him uniquely qualified to lead FastSoft to market success.

Most recently, Snyder founded and/or seed-funded several successful startups including Netboost (acquired by Intel, NASDAQ:INTC), Jibe Networks and Proxinet (as CEO) acquired by Puma Technologies. Earlier, Snyder was CEO of Alantec (Fremont, CA), a venture-backed company in the LAN switch business, which went public and was later acquired by Fore Systems.

After completing active duty as an Engineering Officer in the U. S. Navy, Snyder embarked on his career with TRW as a member of the Technical staff. Spending 14 years with TRW, he exited as Vice President and General Manager of TRW Information Networks Division which he founded as a commercial spin-out from a secure U.S. Government project. Snyder received his undergraduate (B.S.) and graduate education (Ph.D) in Control Systems Engineering at M.I.T.

California Institute of Technology Professor Steven Low, FastSoft’s co-founder and chairman, said that the FastSoft board unanimously selected Snyder based on his track record leading technology ventures, as well as his strong executive and personal qualities.

“Ed’s experience leading technology ventures to maximize shareholder value is outstanding,” said Low. “We are delighted to have Ed join FastSoft.”

Snyder said, “FastSoft’s technology has powerful benefits for the evolving worlds of cloud computing, software-as-a-service offerings, and Internet video distribution.
