J. Edward Snyder
President and CEO
Ed Snyder is a 20 year veteran in technology-based business management, with extensive P&L / CEO experience building top caliber management teams and leading a broad range of companies from startup through successful market growth to ongoing business viability. Most recently, Snyder founded and/or seed-funded several successful startups including Netboost (acquired by Intel, NASDAQ:INTC), Jibe Networks and Proxinet (as CEO) acquired by Puma Technologies. Prior to that, he was CEO of Beaverton, Oregon based ProTools, Inc. which was acquired by Network General in a pooling-of-interest merger. Earlier, Snyder was CEO of Alantec (Fremont, CA), a venture-backed company in the LAN switch business, which went public and was later acquired by Fore Systems. After completing active duty as an Engineering Officer in the U. S. Navy, Ed embarked on his career with TRW as a member of the Technical staff. Spending 14 years with TRW, he exited as Vice President and General Manager of TRW Information Networks Division which he founded as a commercial spin-out from a secure U.S. Government project. Ed received his undergraduate (B.S.) and graduate education (Ph.D) in Control Systems Engineering at M.I.T.

Cheng Jin, Ph.D.
Co-founder, CTO and VP of Engineering
Cheng Jin leads FastSoft’s product development efforts and serves on its Board of Directors. He brings 11 years of research and development experience in network algorithms, protocols, and product development. Cheng is a co-inventor of FastTCP, and the architect and key developer of FastSoft’s flagship products. Prior to co-founding FastSoft, Cheng served as a post-doctoral researcher at Caltech with Steven Low. Cheng holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering and a Masters of Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, and a BSEE from Case Western Reserve University.

William G. Fitzgibbons
VP of Worldwide Sales
Bill Fitzgibbons has more than 30 years of leadership experience in start-up, high-growth, and turn-around environments. He has been associated with the sale or IPO of eight companies. Prior to joining Fastsoft, he was Senior VP Sales and Marketing at Bandtel, Senior VP Sales and Marketing at Corliant, VP of Sales for ManyStreams, VP of Worldwide Sales at Gold Wire Technologies, VP Worldwide Sales of Mobility Software at Lucent Technologies, VP Worldwide Sales at Kaspia, VP Sales at Net Edge, and VP Sales at Protools. Earlier in his career, Bill held executive sales roles at Synoptics Communications, General Datacomm, Nortel and Paradyne. Bill attended Clark University and has completed numerous sales and time management programs.

Jerry Hall
VP of Marketing
Jerry brings more than 25 years of technical, marketing and executive management experience, much of which with venture-backed high tech companies. Most recently, Jerry was the principal consultant of Forge Strategic Marketing where he provided strategic and marketing consulting to high-tech start-up companies such as Amartus, AirHop Communications, RightWave, Tesaria, Jibe Networks, Rotor Communications, Antara Systems, and others. Previously, Jerry was vice president of marketing at ProxiNet, a developer of mobile Internet software that was acquired in 1999 by Intellisync (now part of Nokia). Prior to that, Jerry was founder and vice president of marketing at NetBoost Corporation, a developer of network processors that was acquired by Intel in 1999. He also held a variety of technical and marketing positions at Lantronix, Retix, U-B Networks, Tandem Computers, Tymnet, and Memorex.

Roger Tharp
CFO
Roger Tharp has over 30 years of financial experience with high technology companies that range from start-ups to corporations like Sun Microsystems and Hewlett-Packard. Roger has most recently been working as a consultant with early stage start-ups assisting them with fundraising, business plans, operating infrastructure and CFO functions. Prior to consulting, Roger was the CFO for Foglight Software (acquired by Quest Software), a developer of system performance monitoring software, where he was responsible for securing $5 million in funding from venture capital investors and $3 million in leaseline financing. Roger was also responsible for the company’s financial, tax, risk human resources, administration and facilities management. Under his financial guidance, the company grew from zero revenue to more than $50 million in annualized revenue. Prior to Foglight, Roger served as CFO for Compact Devices, Inc., a developer and manufacturer of network appliances. He has extensive experience in managing all aspects of corporate financing including participating in several IPOs and acquisitions. Roger holds a BS in Business Administration/Management Accounting from San Jose State University.
