Transmission Time Improvements

FastSoft recently published the results of its global tests, which revealed major improvements in file transfer times utilizing our world record-setting FastTCP™.

Among the findings of the testing:

  • Sending a 4.7GB DVD file from Los Angeles to London through a 100Mbps line took nine minutes, compared to 128 minutes without a FastSoft appliance. This represents a speed increase of 14.2x.
  • Sending a DVD file from Los Angeles to New York took three minutes, compared to 77 minutes without a FastSoft appliance. This represents a speed increase of 25.7x.
  • Sending a 500MB design file from New York to London through a 45Mbps line took four minutes, compared to 46 minutes without a FastSoft appliance. This represents a speed increase of 10.6.
